They are a small, registered charity based in Crawley offering welcome and support to refugees, asylum seekers or other migrants who need some extra help to cope with life in a new country.
Who they help?
Many of those whom they support have gone through unimaginably difficult experiences before reaching the UK, whether through war, persecution or other traumatic situation.
How do they help?
They offer practical support, befriending and help with integrating into the community through English language groups and social events. They help to provide household goods and other necessities for newly settled refugees and other vulnerable migrants in need.
Why do we C4K support them?
With the trauma the people RWC help have gone through we believe it is essential to help them in their endeavour, quite often many services are digital and by providing computers to them they can easily access these services in their native languages to help bridge the communications barrier.
Many of the children are not in School and by providing them with a computer they can access learning resources. This keeps their minds inquisitive and questioning and often they have not received such kindness. The help the Charity supports gives them hope which is sorely needed and we are committed to helping towards that end.
